We keep this simple and privacy-first. LocknMap is designed to avoid long-term storage of location data.

What we collect

• Link data you create: display name, notes, chosen accuracy (exact/nearby/locked), expiry, passcode hash, and a management code.
• Technical basics: IP, device/browser info, and error logs needed to run the service and prevent abuse.
• Optional analytics (if enabled): privacy‑preserving, aggregate usage (no personal profiling, no sale of data).

How your data is used

• To create and deliver your temporary link and QR.
• To let you manage (revoke/extend) links.
• To keep the service secure, reliable, and improve it.

Retention

• Auto‑deletion: Links auto‑expire and are removed after a short grace window. We do not keep a permanent location history.
• Logs: Kept only as long as needed for security/operations.

Sharing

• We do not sell your data.
• Service providers may process strictly to run LockNMap (e.g., hosting).
• We may disclose information if required by law or to prevent harm/abuse.

Security

• Passcodes are never stored in plain text.
• Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS).
• No system is 100% secure; use strong passcodes and share wisely.

Cookies

• Essential cookies to keep the app working (e.g., session).
• Minimal analytics cookies only if enabled.

Children

LockNMap is not intended for children under 13. If we learn we’ve collected such data, we’ll delete it.

Your choices

• You control what you share, who can unlock it, and when it expires.
• Revoke links anytime using your management code.
