Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of LocknMap ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to them.

1) What LockNMap is

A tool to share temporary, privacy‑controlled location links (blurred or exact) with optional passcode protection and auto‑expiry. It is not an emergency service or a navigation app.

2) Your responsibilities

• Share locations only you have a right to share.
• Don’t use the Service for harassment, stalking, illegal activity, or unsafe meetups.
• Choose strong passcodes; keep management codes private.
• Comply with applicable laws where you live and where you use the Service.

3) Accounts & tiers

• We may offer free, signed‑in free, and pro tiers with different limits/features.
• Early‑access or trial features may change, be gated, or be withdrawn.

4) Links, expiry, and deletion

• Links auto‑expire. After expiry/revoke/consumption, we clean up data after a short grace period.
• You can revoke or extend (if available to your tier) using your management code.

5) Acceptable use

No abuse, scraping, reverse engineering, or excessive load. We may rate‑limit or suspend accounts to protect the Service.

6) Payments (if applicable)

Pro features may require payment. Fees are posted in‑app. Taxes, renewals, and cancellation terms will be shown at checkout.

7) Intellectual property

LocknMap and all related marks, UI, and code are owned by LocknMap. You get a limited, revocable license to use the Service.

8) Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee accuracy of coordinates, uptime, delivery of messages, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use your judgment when sharing locations.

9) Liability limit

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to amounts you paid in the last 3 months (if any).

10) Termination

We may suspend or end access for policy violations, risk, or legal reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time.

11) Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

• Governing law / venue: These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which this Service operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
